Welcome to Shkolla Shqipe Arbëria
We are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive in the Albanian language, culture, and traditions. Our passionate team is committed to ensuring that every student feels supported and inspired to reach their full potential.
Our Story
Shkolla Shqipe was founded in 2006 when a young Albanian girl asked one of our founding members, “Why don’t we have a school where we can learn Albanian?” That simple yet powerful question sparked the creation of a vibrant learning community. Since then, our school has welcomed over 300 students from across the Chicagoland area—and even a few from out of state.

As the school grew, so did our students’ passion for Albanian culture. A few years in, they expressed a desire to not only learn the language but also embrace the rich traditions of Albanian dance, or Valle. From that enthusiasm, Grupi Arbëria was born—our dance group, where students practice and perform Albanian dance.
